The Idea of Home

The Idea of Home attempts to celebrate and promote multicultural awareness on the PSU campus as well as the surrounding community.
As a multimedia art project, The Idea of Home is exhibited in two main parts. The first component is a series of documentary videos
and the second part is a series of still portrait photographs. For this project the artist developed a relationship with PSUʼs Multicultural Center to meet, film, and photograph
fifteen PSU student volunteers while having a brief conversation about their “idea of home” or what the word “home” means to them. For the second part of the project, the artist created a series of portrait photographs (16 x 20 inches), which are on display on the second floor of the PSU Smith Memorial Student Union.
