single-channel digital video installation with 5.1 surround sound
Coyote Search (2007) is a single-channel digital video installation, which uses surround sound technology to simulate the haunting cries of a pack of unseen coyotes. Shot in night vision on a hillside in Los Angeles, Coyote Search attempts to reveal the rupture that may occur between sound and vision. The more the video progresses, the more disorienting the video becomes due to the sound design as well as the video content.
